  1. Be your own biggest fan. Similar to how you validate others in your life, it will allow you to relax. Instead of telling yourself what you doing wrong, putting yourself on the edge. Do not allow the mistakes and errors in judgement to define you. Take a moment to pat yourself on the back and remind yourself of the days when you made a difference or when someone complemented you.

  2. Stay positive. Staying positive is a process, a habit, and not a once off event. You need to nurture your mind, water it. Ensure you have constant positive thoughts entering your mind by choosing what you read, listen, write, watch. See book by Mike Dooley “Notes from the Universe”.

  3. Exercise, do want you enjoy can get your heart pumping, or go for a walk a or spend time in nature or any beautiful environment.

  4. Practice expressing gratitude. Whenever you have a moment to spare, look around you, feel it, and share it.

  5. Visualize the outcome and give thanks in advance. Make it a habit. for example how a meeting would go or how a person will react to my speech or suggestion. Mentally visualizing the meeting going well and people reacting positively to your suggestion or work. It could be that the power of this changes your attitude. By doing this you are preparing yourself for your talk because you’re mentally rehearsing the purpose and positive outcome of your conversation. Create a movie in your head.

To summarize, be your own biggest fan, reflect on the things that went right and give yourself credit more often. Stay positive, by watching what you let into your life i.e. the things you read, write, listen too. Exercise often and practice expressing gratitude often.
